Decorah Eagles

see previous post about the eagles. . .

Another Weekend Flew By. . . . Bye!

We have been watching the Decorah eagles as they nest and sit on their three eggs. Jaelynne is super excited and asks about the eagles often. Today, it was super windy at the nest and Jaely was scared their nest was going to blow out of the tree. She even covered her face a few times. Then, while walking to the mall the wind was blowing her hair around and she said "it is windy, like by the eagles." Man, i love that girl! Here they are watching the eagles.Papa took both girls outside. Jaelynne got a little jealous. She hasn't had to share her papa outside, yet. Camryn liked being pulled on her sled!

Jaely is suddenly into tracing people's hands. Here she traced TJ's.

G is for girls. . .

. . . there will be dress up galore.

Dance parties in our livingroom require dress up clothes, according to Jaely. . . and no socks. Again, Jaely included Camy in dressing up without being prompted by me or TJ. She was an awesome big sister today. I think she missed her little sister while she was gone for a few days.

Love this one!

Trying to get her sister to stay still for more than a minute so she could read a story.

you will read with me and you will like it, Camy.
Pulling her papa's hair.

Camy really wanted this headband. When she took it off Jaely, she tried to put it on her head.

Showing me the picture she drew on TJ's ipod.

These girls are absolutely wodnerful. . . but they are a wee bit tiring. Not a lot of writing. . . going to sleep now. N is for night, night.

Colds, Sickness, Coughs and Yuckies . . .

Camryn and Jaelynne received a Valentine's package in the mail from Nammy & Grandpa. She was so excited to open it. She went and got her scissors and went at it.

Camryn entertained herself by playing with Jaelynne's pants the whole time.
That night, Jaely coughed all night. It was a dry, raspy annoying cough that literally lasted all night. By the evening of the next day she had a fever, and felt horrible. Thankfully, TJ took her into the doctor's that afternoon. She had a nasty virus in her lungs. Both girls have colds. Camryn had 5 teeth coming in at once. Then the meds that the doctor gave us made Jaely instantly throw up and she threw up twice in the middle of the night from coughing so hard. These last few weeks have been challenging. I just want my girls to feel better. We didn't let the colds keep us from visiting nammy's house. We just needed a change in scenery and pace over our mid winter break. Jaely is still there. We brought Cami back with us.

After Jaelynne had her hair combed, Camryn backed right up into papa and wanted her hair combed.

Dancing in front of the TV.

Jaely would not cooperate for a photo with her nammy and sister.

Big Sister/ Big Reader

On Sunday morning, this is what Jaely does now. She gets herself breakfast. I love how she stands on and in the fridge to get her yogurt.

Bath time!!!! Camryn sees TJ do the sign for bath and then she knows that when i strip her down in her high chair and let her run around in her diaper, it is bath time!!! TJ and i used to say "is it a night for a B-A-T-H?" And then Jaely learned what we were talking about. Then we changed it to "is it a night for a B?" Then she figured that out. Know we say "Are we doing a T-H-A-B?" We used that twice before she figured it out. Arg. Camryn LOVES baths. She is not scared of the water at all. She sticks her face in it, lets Jaely squirt her in the face and has fallen over face first and has not cried. She loves the water!

Today, After school, Jaely wanted to read her sister a book.

Camy wanted to look at her own book.

Some videos. . . .

The three of us on Mismatch day. . . both girls stayed home sick, but they still wore mismatched clothes. Jaely's first attempt at playing "I Spy" with me. so funny how their minds work.
